Body system: Cardiovascular SystemRegulation: 38 CFR § 4.104

An aneurysm is a weakened spot in an artery wall that bulges out like a balloon - in this case, affecting small arteries throughout your body. The VA only gives a 0% rating for small artery aneurysms that cause no symptoms, meaning you get service connection recognition but no monthly compensation. If your aneurysm causes symptoms like pain, affects blood flow, or impacts other body functions, the VA would likely rate it under a different diagnostic code with higher ratings.
