Arthritis, typhoid (DC 5006)
Typhoid arthritis is joint inflammation caused by typhoid fever, a bacterial infection that was more common in earlier military service eras. This is a cross-reference code that doesn't have its own rating criteria - the VA will rate your arthritis symptoms using the standard arthritis codes (5003 or 5010-5012) based on which joints are affected. Your rating will depend on how limited your joint movement is and how much pain affects your daily activities.
