Diagnostic Code 7815 covers bullous disorders, serious skin conditions that cause fluid-filled blisters and sores. These include pemphigus vulgaris, pemphigus foliaceous, bullous pemphigoid, dermatitis herpetiformis, epidermolysis bullosa acquisita, Hailey-Hailey, and porphyria cutanea tarda. The VA rates DC 7815 under the General Rating Formula for the Skin (38 CFR § 4.118): 0%, 10%, 30%, or 60% depending on the percent of the entire body or exposed areas affected by characteristic lesions, and whether systemic therapy (corticosteroids, biologics, PUVA, or other immunosuppressives) was required over the past 12 months.
